The Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, entered into agreement with Super New Punjab Engineering Works, Talwadi Bhai, District Ferozpur for commercialization of PAU Straw Cutter-cum-Spreader technology.
The MoA was signed by Dr Navtej Singh Bains, Director Research, PAU and Balbir Singh on behalf of their respective organizations. Dr Pushpinder Pal Singh Pannu, Additional Director of Research (NR&PHM) PAU, Ludhiana was also present on the occasion and lauded the efforts made by the agricultural machinery manufacturers for taking the technologies developed by PAU to the farmers’ fields.
Dr. S.S. Chahal, Adjunct Professor, Technology Marketing and IPR Cell informed that PAU has signed 6 MoAs for the commercialization of ‘PAU Cutter cum Spreader’.
Dr Chahal further added that PAU has signed 178 MoAs and commercialized 39 technologies including hybrid lines of mustard, chilli, brinjal and varieties, bio-fertilizers, leaf colour chart, water testing kit, products, PAU Happy Seeder technology, PAU Straw Cutter-cum-Mulcher and other technologies.
Mr. Jasvir Singh Gill, Assistant Agronomist, Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering shared that the PAU Cutter cum Spreader is meant for cutting and spreading of whole paddy straw (standing stubbles + loose straw).
