Hyderabad: Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agriculture University (PJTSAU) widely discussed the use drone technology in agriculture.
University Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Kumar and other higher officials and India Agriculture Research representatives held a meeting at PJTSAU to explore the possibilities to introduce drone technology in agriculture. Ageis technology from Bengaluru gave a power-point presentation in this regard.
During the meeting, the officials said the technology would be useful starting from seed harvesting to crop cutting besides assessing crop loss due to natural calamities.
The members have decided to examine the project on pilot basis before introducing it widely.
