Awareness Camp for Farm Women at PAU

An awareness campaign on safe drinking water and a training programme on income generation activities for rural women in village Boparai, district Ludhiana organized by the department of Extension Education and Communication Management.

In this programme more than 50 women participated. To create awareness among the masses for using the water testing kit developed by the department of Microbiology, PAU, in which water of 25 households was tested free of cost to encourage the use of these kits this demonstrations were held.

Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur, Professor, motivated the women to maintain the hygiene of the water supply system and test drinking water regularly.

For making detergent powder, phenol and tie dye the students of B.Sc. Home Science, under the guidance of Dr. Sukhdeep Kaur, Asst. Professor held demonstrations. To start income generation activities and enhance their family income, women were encouraged.
