Finance and Development Corporation (HSCFDC) has provided financial assistance of Rs 32.61 crore, including Rs 3.51 crore as subsidy, to 5,153 beneficiaries under various schemes upto November 2015.
An official spokesman said that people belonging to Scheduled Castes were being provided loans under various categories so as to enable them to set up their ventures and make them self-employed.
These categories include agriculture, industrial, trade and business sectors. "Under agriculture and allied sector, over Rs 18.56 crore loans for dairy and pig farming, sheep rearing, and mule cart were disbursed among 3,356 beneficiaries up to November this year" he added.
Out of this, more than Rs 16.62 crore had been given as bank loan, over Rs 1.92 crore as subsidy and Rs 1.20 lakh as margin money.
