Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) is planning to establish Agriculture Incubation Centre to promote agriculture entrepreneurship skills among undergraduate students of the university.
To this effect, a preliminary meeting was held between PJTSAU officials, Manisha Acharya, CEO, Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF) and Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP).
During the meeting, ILF agreed to extend technical consultancy in preparing of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the establishment of Agri Incubation Centre and Agri startups in the university. The ILF would organise entrepreneurship awareness and idea-generation camps to identify entrepreneur skills among students.
The university will allot space and extend faculty support to run the programme. PJTSAU, Vice-Chancellor, V Praveen Rao, advised the Director International Programmes, PJTSAU, to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ILF.
The officials also discussed mobilisation of funds from various sources, including Department of Science and Technology (DST), as capital investment for agriculture startups.
