At Farm Technology Training Centre-Nenpur, two days training programme on “Cropping Practices of Important Summer Crops” was organised with collaboration of Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Kheda on 20th of February, 2017. Total 32 farmers of different villages of Nadiad taluka enthusiastically participated in the said programme.
The brief outline on research and extension activities carried out by the centre elaborated by Dr. B. N. Patel (Associate Research Scientist & Unit Head, ARS, Sansoli).
Lecture on “Package of Practices for Important Summer Crops” was delivered by Dr. J. K. Patel (Associate Research Scientist, ARS, Sansoli) Prof. M. B. Zala (Assistant Research Scientist, ARS, Sansoli) had delivered his talk on “Plant Protection Measures for Important Summer Crops” and solved out the insect-pest related problems of farmers.
Lecture on “Importance of Extension Education in Agricultural Sectors” was given by Prof. S. A. Sipai (Assistant Extension Educationist, ARS, Sansoli). Talk on “Importance of Drip Irrigation in Summer Cultivated Crops” had been given by Dr. T. R. Patel (Research Associate, ARS, Sansoli). For practical exposure to the farmers regarding seed production techniques, a field visit of castor and maize isolation plots was also done.
