Global Agriculture and Food Summit in Nov 2018
For the promotion of food processing, international level training, and organic agriculture, Global Agriculture and Food Summit will be organised at Ranchi in November 2018. Summit will also expand the vision of farmers and for that Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed to start preparation in a high level meeting.
Farmers from different countries, states of India and districts of Jharkhand will participate in the global summit.
Meanwhile, holding a meeting with representatives of London's DM Capital Ltd and International Traceability System Limited the CM emphasized on setting up a world-class vegetable based industry in Jharkhand.
Representatives of London's DM Capital Ltd and International Traceability System Limited said that in the first phase, investment of 100 million dollars will be made in the State and with the participation of local farmer quality vegetables production will start in 5 lakh hectares land of Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Ramgarh and Lohardaga.
It should be fully based on organic farming so that women and tribal farmers can contribute more and in the agro-based food processing industry, farmers should also get equity shares for maximum benefit, said Das.
The investing company will also set up agricultural work, training to farmers in the latest methods of technology and agriculture system and agricultural product based industries.
Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathy, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Agriculture Secretary Puja Singhal, Industry Director K. Ravikumar, Director of London-based DM Capital Ltd Dilip Rao Morey, International Traceability System Limited Dr. S. Prasad Pikare and other representatives were present in the meeting.
