Sierra Weaver is a sophomore majoring in agricultural science and minoring in agribusiness. Sierra has also been on the Dean's list for every semester of her college career thus far.
Her avid involvement and experience in the College of Ag Sciences, as well the agricultural industry is noteworthy. She chose a broad major to educate herself about many aspects of the agriculture industry. She is focusing on agribusiness so she can help manage the industry efficiently. She aims to improve the agricultural industry through her future career, and in doing so, hopes to broaden her horizons and help the world as a whole.
She has been involved in agriculture and the equine industry throughout her whole life, from being involved in her hometown’s FFA chapter, to her involvement in various agricultural organizations, societies, and programs at Penn State. Sierra is a member of Block and Bridle, Penn State Equine Research Team, Poultry Science Club, and Ag Advocates. She is also a member of Delta Theta Sigma, Penn State’s agricultural fraternity. Moreover, Sierra has worked at the Penn State horse barns and currently lives and works at the poultry education research center. This past summer, Sierra interned at Witmer’s Feed and Grain Inc.
