Due to lower production, Garlic prices have jumped by 40% in the last three months. Data compiled by National
Horticulture Board (NHB) showed garlic price increase to Rs 82 a kg in the wholesale markets in December, as
compared to Rs 59 a kg in September.

of dairy products maker Amul, as it aims to cut out the middlemen and ensure higher remuneration for farmers.
