Leaf: - Yellowing along oldest leaf margins followed by petiole collapse.

Stem: - Internal brown discoloration is present up to 10 inches above the root crown.

Root and fruit: -Canker presence on root crown is the key identifying trait. Dry brown rot of the cortex and xylem. Easily seen near the soil surface. It occurs usually at or after fruit set as plant stress increases.
