Several years ago, Geerlofs developed the ‘Gisopanel’, an insulated sandwich panel. This Gisopanel is very suitable for spanning large widths without an expensive streel structure being required.

Apart from its widespread use in the construction of cold rooms and freezer stores, it also finds frequent application in the construction of offices, laboratories, industrial premises, etc.

Geerlofs is constantly engaged in further research which means that the Gisopanel also reflects the well known Geerlofs soundness and reliability.

GISOPANEL

Gisopanel is one of the most advanced products in Europe manufactured with up-to-date technology.

The insulation material used in the form of sandwich is hard foam styrene or rigid polystyrene.

The steel panels are bonded on to the core at the elevated temperature and pressure using a two component thermosetting adhesive which guarantees that there will be no separation under the influence of moisture or temperature.

This is why they entire bonded material acts as an integrated panel and can replace the brick wall in any structure. In other words, there is no need for any brick wall at all in any construction.

Apart from acting as a basic construction material, I.e. wall, the other inherent properties coming out of the system –

•	Much better insulation efficiency.
•	Protection from moisture ingress.
•	Tremendous amount of power saving and related cost.
•	Cuts down noise considerably.

The Gisopanel system manufactured at Geerlofs’ Factory at The Netherlands is of the Hard Foam styrene type and is CFC free.

•	The panel system comes out as an integrated panel and is pre-cut to required sizes.
•	Since the panel has got a mortised bonding profile in full in the foam itself, panel to panel inter locking is done in a matter of seconds and thermosetting adhesives are applied and joint operates to make the structure thoroughly leak tight from air and moisture.
•	The panels are connected together by means of a mortise type joint which allows very rapid assembly.
•	Panels are of modular structure. There are no lever type locking between panel to panel.
•	Panels can be dismantled easily and relocated to suit requirement without losing time and wastage of material.
•	The core consists of a rigid polystyrene foam, guaranteed to be of P20 (20 kg/m3) ‘KOMO’ quality (Dutch government quality control).
•	The core is covered on both sides by a pre-enameled, optically profiled steel sheet of 0.6 mm nominal thickness.
•	The steel sheet is thermo-galvanized and provided with an enamel ground coat.
•	The facing surface can according to choice be finished with a 20 micron silicone modified polyester enamel or a 200 micron Plastisol soft PVC coating.
•	Panels are painted with Food Grade Polysol coating for use in Food Processing Industries.
•	These panels are built wth CFC free materials.
•	Panels are re-cyclable in conformity with international norms of environmental protection.
•	These panels meet the criteria as set forth in the UBC 26-3 Room Fire Test Standards for interior f Foam Plastic Systems.
