Post Harvest : Workshop on "Post Harvest Engineering and Technology" by TNAU

Department of Food and Agricultural Process Engineering, Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) organized three days workshop of All India Coordinated Research Project on “Post Harvest Engineering and Technology” from 04/01/2016 to 06/01/2016 at Seminar hall, RI building of TNAU.

Dr. C. Divakar Durairaj, Dean of Agricultural Engineering & Research Institute, TNAU explained the overall contribution made by processing engineers in reducing post harvest losses through the All India Co-ordinated Research Projects in the last 40 years.

Dr. M. Maheswaran, Director of Research, TNAU insisted the focus of research on post harvest physiology of horticultural crops. Dr. K. Alagusundaram, Deputy Director of General, Agrl. Engineering, ICAR, New Delhi insisted on the consortium or value chain mode of research which will give benefits to farmers immediately.
