Speciality fertilizers
The Hyderabad based Nagaarjuna group with the help of the Israel based Haifa Chemicals Ltd. the world’s leading producer of potassium nitrate- have introduced speciality fertilizers for agriculture and horticulture as well as industrial and food grade chemicals called Poly Feed. These speciality fertilizers/chemicals contains nitrogen (N) phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) in a wide variety of ratios to meet the nutrient requirements of any particular crop at all growth stages. Polyfeed may be applied through irrigation systems as a foliar spray or by direct side dressing.
Poly-feed is an claimed to be an good nutrient source for vegetables, fruit trees, field crops, flowers, turf and gardening. Poly-feed formulae are classified into 3 ranges, adapted to different uses:
Poly-feed drip for soil fertigation
Poly-feed + for foliar application
Poly-feed SL for soilless culture
Poly-feed is fully water soluble. Poly-feed is readily absorbed by the plants. Poly-feed contains no chloride (C1) or sodium (Na+) and hence is most suitable for use in intensive crops, for saline sensitive crops and for foliar sprays. The metallic microelements are present as EDTA chelates. In this form, fixation or leaching are prevented and the microelements remain available to the plant.
