In-can cooler for milk chilling It is very important to preserve the quality of raw milk at the producers level and during transit. It is reported that 12-25% milk loss is especially during the unfavorable (hot conditions) season. High seasonal fluctuation in the production (21/4 times more in winter) affects the improper utilisation of plant capacities. The In-Can cooler is used to increase the shelf life of the raw milk. It is used for handling 6-12 cans. The cans are dipped partially in the chilled water stored inside an insulted box. The refrigeration unit is inbuilt inside the compartment, adjoining the insulated box. Whole unit appears as an integrated rectangular container. It has a refrigeration unit like refrigerator and runs 16-18 hours, with effective 3 hour of running.
