Government Subsidy for Improved Agricultural Implements

Improved agricultural implements are innovated to carry out agricultural operations more efficiently with better quality of work, to save bullock and human labour and ultimately reduce cost. Several implements are developed by Agricultural Universities and other research institutes. But many of them are very costly and beyond the buying capacity of farmers. Hence, the Government of Maharashtra has granted subsidies on some of the implements. This scheme is fully sponsored by the State Government land 100% cost is borne by it.

Subsidy is granted to the extent of 50% limited to Rs.10,000/- per implement. The scheme is implemented by the Agricultural Development Officer (Z.P.) The implements covered under the scheme are :

  1. Seed –cum-fertilizer drill ( drawn by bullock or tractor).
  2. Machine operated multicrop thresher (with or without motor).
  3. Machine operated sunflower thresher.
  4. Machine operated rice thresher (with or without motor).
  5. Groundnut sheller
  6. Reapier – machine operated wheat thresher.
  7. Paddy transplanter.
  8. Multipurpose tool –bar carrier.
  9. Groundnut digger.
  10. Bullock operated rice puddler.
  11. Machine operated maize sheller.
