Safety while driving a Tractor

"Prevention is better than cure", one can replace every damage except human damage. Sometimes the result of accidents can make a person handicap for rest of his life. It not only creates problem for the victim but his family also have to suffer for it. These accidents can happen due to negligence of minor things. Hence below mentioned are some points which can help to avoid accidents in many ways.

  • Follow the traffic rules to prevent accident.
  • Tractor driver should have licence and at the same time he should know all the rules.
  • Avoid wearing loose clothes like Dhoti, Kurta, Slipper etc. it can create problems.
  • Take some rest whenever you feel.
  • Never drive vehicle after consuming alcohol.
  • Never leave tractor engine in on position. It can cause heavy damage.
  • Don’t get up or down from running tractor.
  • Avoid climbing hills on tractor.
  • Clean oil or grease from steps of the tractor.
  • Don’t use tractor for the purpose of travelling.
  • Never fill diesel on hot or running engine.
  • Never smoke while filling the fuel in the vehicle.
  • Never keep tractor on ‘neutral’ in slope. One can loose control from the tractor.
  • Don’t keep you feet on break or clutch. It can damage the lining.
  • After assuring about the boiling of the water in radiator, remove the upper cover and let the hot air go out.
  • Don’t forget to connect two-break pedal together so that one can stop the tractor early.
  • Always slow down whenever there is ‘U’ turn.
  • Slowly and easily press the clutch, especially while climbing hills.
  • Always ride slowly.
