Skills:
• Expertise in plant genetics, genome sequencing, and bioinformatics.
• Proficiency with genome analysis software and tools (e.g., BLAST, Genius, or other bioinformatics platforms).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting complex genetic data Knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction, and sequencing Excellent communication skills for presenting research and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage large datasets and work with statistical software for genetic analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze plant genomes to identify genetic variations that impact crop performance.
• Use bioinformatics tools to process and interpret large sets of genomic data.
• Collaborate with crop breeders and geneticists to integrate findings into crop improvement programs.
• Conduct research on gene function, expression, and regulation to enhance plant traits like yield, resistance, and stress tolerance.
• Develop genetic markers for use in crop selection and breeding.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to research teams and stakeholders.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in plant genomics and bioinformatics.
