Probation:Two years
Experience:Two years’ experience in Horticulture including Ornamental gardening.
Pay Scale:Rs.9,300-34,800/- ( PB-2) plus Rs. 4,600/- (Grade Pay) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.31275/-p.m. approximately)

Note I:The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Note II:The qualification regarding experience are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes in respect of posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from this community possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Agriculture with specialisation in Horticulture of a Recognised university/Institute or M.Sc. in Horticulture with Floriculture or Olericulture as a Subject of a recognised University/Institute or M.Sc. in Botany with Horticulture as a Subject of a recognised University/Institute or B.Sc. in Agriculture/Botany/Horticulture with Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture of a Recognised university/Institute or M.Sc. in Floriculture and Landscaping or Horticulture from a Recognised university/ institute

Age : Not exceeding 35 years for Scheduled Castes as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Responsibilities : Supervision of maintenance of works and staff, tendering technical advice to the subordinates in respect of Government property and to tenants in regard to Floral, Fruit and vegetables gardens, Supervision of original works and ensure maintenance of correct standards and specification. Control of staff and maintenance of their Service records, preparation of estimates for original and maintenance of works and control of expenditure on these works.
