Punjab University (PU) has been granted a patent by Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) for an invention entitled 'A Modified Poultry Feed for Production of Eggs'.
Satish Kumar Taneja, who had retired from PU's department of zoology, is the inventor of the patent. The information was given by PU vice chancellor Arun K Grover, while addressing the syndicate meeting at PU on Sunday. TIFAC is an autonomous organization set up under the department of science & technology (DST), Government of India, to look ahead in technologies, assess technology trajectories, and support technology innovation by network actions in select technology areas of national importance.
