Qualification	:	Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Local/Regional Food Systems, Urban Agriculture or closely related subject matter discipline.
Experience	:	Minimum of 2 years’ experience with local/regional food systems similar to Nebraska systems.
Candidate Profile	:	Successful experience in teaching local foods/urban agriculture systems education in a formal or informal setting. Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e. publications, teaching, presentations and web media). Experience in working with individuals, co-workers, and teams to accomplish individual and/or group goals, as evidenced by college, career, and/or community activities. Outstanding leadership skills as demonstrated by roles in college, career, and/or community activities. Ability to utilize electronic and online technologies for educational program delivery.
Responsibilities	:	Develop the Urban Agriculture curriculum including plant propagation, entrepreneurship, farmers market, community garden and alternative horticulture. Teach up to 6 credit hours per semester. Use innovative strategies and current technologies to design, develop, deliver and evaluate programs for a robust extension education program in local foods. Engage in a collaborative-learning environment between professionals and students to encourage the adoption of research-based information in decision-making.
