Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for field studies and sample collection.
• Capability to lift up to 30 lbs (field equipment, plant samples).
• Stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods while conducting field research.

Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines while working on equipment.
• Disease Identification & Diagnostics: Assist in diagnosing plant diseases caused by pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes using lab and field techniques.
• Lab & Field Research: Conduct experiments in both lab and field settings to monitor plant-pathogen interactions and disease progression.
• Sample Collection & Testing: Collect plant and soil samples for disease testing, analysis, and identification of pathogens.
• Monitoring & Assessment: Support disease management programs by monitoring disease outbreaks and evaluating the effectiveness of control measures.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of research findings and compile reports on disease management strategies and results.
• Outreach & Collaboration: Collaborate with farmers, agricultural professionals, and research teams to develop disease management solutions and participate in outreach activities. Maintenance Records.
