Nashik: Collector of Nashik, Radhakrishnan B said, the loans through Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Ltd will can now be given even for agri-support businesses as well and hence the benefits of the same be extended to the beneficiaries.
At a meeting of the banks, agriculture officers convened recently, Collector said that now the loans which were limited for crops and the irrigation facilities have now been extended to fisheries, poultry, agriculture services centre, dairy farming, food and agri-produce business development as well and the beneficiaries should be given the loan for the same.
In two weeks the proposals for the loans up to Rs 5 lakh should be finalised and in the next three weeks decide upon the same. The collector also informed that, "The proposals have to be cleared in time-bound process and the delay is not allowed. Besides, if the loans or proposals have been rejected the cause of the same has to be clearly mentioned on the same as made mandatory by the Reserve Bank of India."
From the same, the youth who take advantage from skill development shall also benefit. Who are willing to start new venture, it will also be the best for the youth. From the scheme, so far 83,629 people have been benefited with loan amounting to Rs 280.52 crore sanctioned of which Rs 275 crore have been distributed as well.
