Qualification	:	Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences / Food Sciences / Social Sciences with demonstrated expertise in Agriculture and Food Systems or a closely related field. Broad expertise in one or more areas such as sustainable agriculture, food systems, and biodiversity.
Requirements	:	Previous teaching experience with high ratings of teaching effectiveness. Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for scholarly contributions. Strong fieldwork skills as evidenced by completed empirical research projects. Ability to teach effectively over a range of topics at the Masters level, not exclusively in the area of own research expertise. Ability to design, develop and write the Course Curriculum. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English which is the medium of instruction of the University.
Responsibilities	:	Candidates are expected to contribute towards development of the curriculum for teaching Masters level courses with a thesis component in the second year. Candidates are expected to teach introductory/ core courses and upper level advanced courses related to their field of experience. Candidates must be highly motivated to work for the vision of Nalanda University Candidates must demonstrate significant scholarly potential and promise of excellence, along with teaching effectiveness at the postgraduate level. Candidates are expected to develop collaborations with other tertiary institutions and/ or research institutions including raising funds for research projects. Candidates are expected to contribute toward student advising, curriculum development and other services, including but not limited to administrative tasks, in the School and the University Candidates must have ability to work collegially with faculty members drawn internationally and having diverse disciplinary interests. Successful candidates are expected to teach between 1.5-2 courses per semester for the Master’s degree as well as support the PhD degree programme at the School. A selected candidate is expected to provide support to other positions in the case of absences. Candidates are expected to update the courses they teach on a regular basis in view of the acquaintance with the new domains/exposures available in their areas of teaching and research.
