Training For Flower Grower by PAU

Under the guidance of Dr Ashok Kumar, Director of Extension Education and Programme Director at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) on 23rd August, the monthly training camp of Progressive Flower Growers Club was organized. In the camp, a total of 40 flower growers participated.

He stressed on opting for cooperative farming. In his welcome remarks, Dr T.S. Riar, Programme Coordinator of the club, presented review of the activities of the club. He said, “Floriculture cultivation is profitable in view of its demand for several occasions.”

Dr Rupinder Kaur, entomology expert, dwelt on the insect-pest management in poly-house and Dr K.K. Dhatt, a floriculture expert, educated the members about the cultivation of gladiolus.

Mandeep Singh, President of the club, interacted with the members and advised them that for timely guidance remain in contact with the PAU experts.
