Training Programme on Aromatic and Spice Crops Production at ARS, Sansoli
One day training programme on “Aromatic and Spice Crops Production” was organised at Farm Technology Training Centre-
Nenpur under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) renamed as Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) in
the immense presence of agricultural scientists and farmers on 6th of February, 2017.
Total 90 farmers of different villages of Kheda district enthusiastically participated in the said programme. Followed by
registration of farmers, inauguration of programme was made by Deep Pragatan and by giving the bouquet to the invitees. Dr. B.
N. Patel (Associate Research Scientist & Unit Head, ARS, Sansoli) addressed the farmers regarding the said training programme
and delivered talk on “Cropping Practices of Important Spice Crops”.
Prof. B. V. Hirpara (Assistant Research Scientist, Department of Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Research Station, AAU, Anand)
had given lecture on “Importance and Scope of Aromatic Plants” had given by and he also interacted with farmers for their
farming related queries.Dr. R. R. Acharya (Research Scientist, Main Vegetable Research Station, AAU, Anand) had delivered
Graveness talk on “Importance of Spice Crops and Market Potential”.
After the noon session, lecture on “Plant Protection Measures for Aromatic and Spice Crops” had given by Prof. M. B.
Zala (Assistant Research Scientist, ARS, Sansoli) and solved out the insect pests related problems perceived by farmers. Dr.
J. K. Patel (Associate Research Scientist, ARS, Sansoli) had delivered talk on “Cropping Practices of Important Aromatic
Prof. S. A. Sipai (Assistant Extension Educationist, ARS, Sansoli) had given vote of thanks to invitees and farmers for
their interactive participation. At the end of programme, discussion and consultation with farmers, field visit and
their feedbacks regarding training were collected.
